This piece reinterprets Eadweard Muybridge's Plate 137, Descending Stairs and Turning Around, 1887. Muybridge's motion studies were presented as objective records of movement, but they weren't. He rearranged sequences, staged scenes, and categorized his female subjects only by their marital status — married, unmarried, widow.

I used AI as a flawed creative partner to rebuild Muybridge's visual language and replace the anonymous nude from the original plate with someone who defies the passive role he assigned to women. Marjorie Taylor Greene was once one of Trump's most vocal supporters before he publicly turned on her and she stepped down from Congress entirely. Whether any of it was genuine or calculated, nobody really knows. She defies classification, which is exactly why she belongs in this piece.
